How to Register for CA Foundation: Step-by-Step with Eligibility & Fees

ELIGIBILITY
Under this route, a Class X passed student may register with the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Institute for the Foundation Course, but they can attend the exams only after appearing for Class XII board exams.
STEP TO REGISTER
1. Visit the ICAI e-services portal
Go to https://eservices.icai.org
2. Create your account
- Click on “First Time User (New Student)? Click Here”
- Fill up the personal details
- Verify your details via the OTP sent to your email and phone number.
- Fill out the registration form
- Login and navigate to Student functions –Apply for Foundation course.
- Enter your academic and personal details accurately.
- Upload the required documents
- Marksheet of Class 10 and Class 12
- Recent passport-size photo
- Scanned signature
- Ensure the documents are within the specific size limits.
- Pay the registration fees
Payment can be made through a Debit card, a Credit card, or even UPI. The registration fees are given as below :
*Candidates from Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, North-East States were given a 75% concession in Registration Course Fee for the Foundation level if they registered between September 20, 2019, and March 31, 2022. The concession has now been extended from April 1, 2022, till March 31, 2025, and this concession is also applicable for Candidates from Andaman and Nicobar Islands registering from April 1, 202,2 till March 31, 2025.
*Wards of deceased members have been given a 75% concession in Registration Course Fee for the Foundation level, applicable from April 1, 2022.
- Completing the registration process
- After successful payment, the acknowledgement of registration will be received through email.
- Students will receive their SRN (Student Registration Number) through email within two weeks of registration.
