CA Foundation Registration January 2026 – Dates, Eligibility & Fees

The registration for the CA Foundation exam in January 2026 will start from 3rd November 2025.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will close this registration on November 16, 2025 without late fee and November 19, 2025 with late fee. Students can register for the January 2026 session by visiting the official website, icai.org.
The registration fee is Rs. 9,000 for Indian students and $700 for those in the US. The candidate should file the registration application at least four months before the exam month.
CA Foundation Registration January 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For registering for CA Foundation, the candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
- They must have passed or appeared in a class 12 examination conducted by any recognized examining body or as per law.
- Before September 1, 2025, a student has to register with the Board of Studies (BoS).
- In addition, students must also complete a four-month study period.
- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has started offering provisional registrations to the students who have passed the exams of 10th. In this case, they will have to submit a scanned admit card instead of a mark sheet for 12th grade. Even students appearing in exams can get provisionally registered.

CA Foundation Registration January 2026 Process
Following are the procedures for registration for CA Foundation January 2026:
Step 1: Access ICAI official website, which is icaiexam.icai.org.
Step 2: Fill in the details and click to generate an OTP, which will be received through a registered mobile number or email.
Step 3: Enter the OTP to authenticate.
Step 4: Once authenticated, login credentials will be sent through the registered email address or mobile number.
Step 5: Now log in to the ICAI website by entering those login credentials.
Step 6: Click on the left-hand side student cycle and then apply for Foundation.
Step 7: The CA Foundation form will appear with some details filled. Fill in the rest of the sections and then click on ‘Save and Next.’
Step 8: Upload the required documents scanned.
Step 9: Upload your photograph and signature.
Step 10: Complete the registration by making online payment for CA Foundation registration fees.
Step 11: Get a print of the registration form and attach all relevant documents, and send the same to ICAI’s postal address.
Step 12: After registration, ICAI will dispatch study material of CA Foundation from their Centralized Dispatch System (CDS).
CA Foundation January 2026 Registration Fees
Note: ICAI has decided to offer a 75% discount on CA Foundation fees for students from newly formed Union Territories like Jammu & Kashmir and the 8 North-Eastern states. Thus, students residing in these regions have to pay only Rs.2,250 as their registration fee.
