CA FOUNDATION 2025 EXAM PATTERN OVERVIEW

The exam pattern of the CA Foundation exam 2025 is as follows :

Total Marks

400 marks (100 marks for each paper)

Frequency of Exam

Thrice a year in January, May and September

Mode of Exam

Offline exam at designated exam centres

Question Type

Paper 1 and 2 are Descriptive papers

Paper 3 and 4 are Objective papers (with negative marking for wrong answers - ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer)

Duration of Exam

Paper 1 and 2 will be of 3 hours

Paper 3 and 4 will be of 2 hours

Passing Criteria

Candidates must achieve a minimum of 40% in each individual paper and an overall aggregate of 50% in all four papers to pass the level.
