How to Apply for ICAI Advanced IT Exam Online

Students registered under the New Scheme of Education are required to complete the Advanced IT Course successfully to be eligible to appear in the Final (New) examination.

Step-by-Step Process to Apply for the Advanced IT Test

Candidates who have completed the Advanced ICITTS-Advanced Information Technology course and wish to appear in the test must apply online at http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org. 

Step 1:

Go to http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org

Step 2:

Enter the student registration number and date of birth, along with the security key shown on the screen

Step 3:

Select the examination center and create a PIN

Step 4:

Verify the details entered, i.e., the address and personal details.

Step 5:

Choose the correct options when asked about the completion of the Advanced IT Course and whether you have applied for the exam earlier.

Provide course details (the city in which the course was attended and the duration)

If you have applied for an exam earlier, provide the certificate number & month, and year of the test.

Select the undergoing course (IPC, Intermediate, Final (old), Final (new))

Step 6:

Upload your recent photograph and signature (in the JPEG, JPG format & size mentioned). Click on save and continue

Step 7:

Read the declaration & click on “I Agree”

Step 8:

Then Click on Submit & Proceed

Points to be noted:

• No physical applications will be entertained. 
• There is no concept of submission of applications with late fees. 
• No change of centre will be permitted once opted.
• Admit cards and results will be hosted on the same site.
• No separate statement of marks or pass certificate will be issued.
• The grade that you secure in the test will be mentioned as a footnote in your Statement of Marks of the subsequent Final exam that will be issued to you.

EXAMINATION FEE 

The examination fee will be as follows: 

• A candidate who is applying for the test for the first time will not be required to pay the test fee. 
• However, those who are applying for the test thereafter, i.e., from the second time onwards, will be required to pay a test fee of ₹ 500/- online through the payment gateway. 

• For Dubai Centre, the test fee will be USD 150, and for Kathmandu, the same will be ₹850/-.

What is the duration of the test?

The duration of the test is 2 hours

What is the structure of the test? 

It is a two-hour, objective-type test with multiple-choice questions. There will be no negative marking.

When will the results be announced?

The results of the Advanced ICITSS- Advanced IT Test will be announced tentatively within a period of 10 days from the date of the test.

What is the passing requirement?

A candidate is declared passed if they get a minimum of 40%.
